PARIS IN FRAME.png

Paris grew up within an artistic family, creating art alongside her two sisters from a young age, all inspired by their Grandma, who specialised in painting. Through her school years Paris aspired to be a tattoo artist after studying Shawn Barber and his depictions of tattooed models in his oil paintings, which spurred her fascination with body art. Paris went on to study fine art and sculpture at Brooklands College, graduating in 2014. After spending time building her portfolio with a variety of artistic ventures, at age 19, Paris applied for an apprenticeship at a local studio with tattoo artist Daniel Hampton as her mentor who she still maintains a close friendship with and has great appreciation for. By 2015 Paris was pursing her passion full time.

Paris began working at Ladies and Gentlemen in August 2016 and during her time working alongside owner Glen Carloss, found her confidence growing with black and grey realism with which he helped guide her in. In early 2017 Paris embraced an exciting opportunity to live and work in Sweden to continue learning from other artists and experience a different culture. Paris took a position at Infamous Studio Tattoo in the heart of Stockholm and spent an exciting year working alongside high quality artists such as Pär Norde and Thanos Argi, in particular owner Theo Jak who she greatly admires. She became particularly close to Jessika Elo, one of the guest-artists from Infamous, who then invited her on an trip to guest at her tattoo studio Old 7 Tattoo in Helsinki, Finland. After Paris’ busy year away she then returned to the UK and to Ladies and Gentlemen where she’s enjoyed working since.

With a wealth of experience as a tattooer and an excellent reputation under her belt, Paris was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to take over the premises of Ladies and Gentlemen, and open her own, new studio! With some hard work behind the scenes, Paris is delighted to have been able to open The Elephant Room Tattoo Parlour in her hometown of Byfleet, Surrey. The Elephant Room is a friendly, private studio with a welcoming and exceptional team, headed by the incredibly talented Paris. She is very happy to have opened the studio in February 2021, and can’t wait to welcome clients, once the pandemic allows, to The Elephant Room Tattoo Parlour!

Style

Working across various studios Paris has enjoyed learning all about her craft from fellow artists, developing her skills and own style. Through her practice and experience, her curiosities have focused predominantly on the use of black ink in a dot work style to produce geometric patterns and mandalas, taking inspiration from nature for her designs mixing floral aspects and animals to the pieces. Strong and freehand patternwork as well as blackwork with occasional red

accents are particular favourites of Paris!

Paris is also incredibly skilled with black and grey realism, and in particular enjoys making portraits and ladies faces.
